The popular Red Hill fire tower loop also has stunning views, and there are no less than seven waterfalls on Brook Walk.
Bald Peak Country Club, the only private lakeside club in New Hampshire, is located in Moultonborough. Members enjoy community and an impressive list of social and sporting events. This club was built for the Lakes Region’s active lifestyle, offering tennis, golf, bridge and more on 1,000 acres of pristine land.
For aquatic adventures, Moultonborough has a shoreline on Lake Kanasatka, Lees Pond, and Wakondah Pond, in addition of course to Lake Winnipesaukee, where you will find two town beaches and three boat launch facilities. Whether your passion is boating, fishing, swimming or paddlesports, the water is always within arm’s reach in Moultonborough.
The quaint village district hosts the public library and a few locally-owned businesses including the Old Country Store; one of the oldest retail establishments in the US and a fantastic place to treasure hunt for anything from jams and cheeses to jewelry and unique gifts.
Moultonborough is known for being the home to the famous Castle in the Clouds, a beautiful Arts and Crafts mountaintop estate that’s now open to the public as a museum and popular wedding venue. Dining at the adjacent Carriage House Restaurant is a singular experience; guests enjoy creative fare on the terrace accompanied by spectacular mountain views and live music in the summertime.
